Busy Busy Busy. My barn is almost renovated....well, that's an exaggeration. it now has insulation, walls on the inside, ceiling fans, and a repaired floor. I'm now ready to decide what to do with my giant new space! more storage????? flea market??? weekend rental yard sale space? a clothes closet for my 300+ jackets?
Plus I now have a new office at the farm/shop, and found a fabulous litho by Dean Meeker that now adorns the wall.
Then there's the apple trees....I can't give 'em away fast enough!!! One tree alone has produced at least 10 bushels of apples, and it's still loaded. I've been canning apple pie filling almost daily. Guess what everyone's getting for the holidays this year. (can you spell Apple!) I'm so overwhelmed by apples, i haven't even ventured near the pear tree. ay-yay-yay....
so, if anyone wants some fab vintage finds, apples or pears, come on down!

Long week and it's only Tuesday! Nip, Eddie and I are packing out Nip's side of the barn and taking it to auction. Half done and already loaded a van and a trailer full. Plus we had wonderful customers today who wanted to buy off the trailer and out of the barn and his shop....just when Nip left, which meant I had to call him every 3 minutes for price quotes. "Hello" changed to "Yes", then to "What?" then to "Whatever you Think." I finally took them to his house where said Van and Trailer were parked and said Person Hisself was there to answer questions.
Other than that, trying to take care of Caliope while she tries to die, mowing the lawn at my house, and clearing away brush at the farm, I've been researching my latest finds: This week it has been a Globe-Wernicke Oak Tickler No. 2 box, and a pair of Rubies Co. Clown shoes! Also delved into Keebler mini cuckoo clocks that used to be give-aways in flour sacks in the 1930s, and now run from about $35 to $125 or so. Save those Cracker Jacks prizes....you never know!

I bought a box of rabbits--yes, you heard me correctly--at an auction not too long ago. These PenDelfin bunnies were so cute, I could hardly stand it. One year out of retirement and I'm turning into a bleeding heart bunny lover.
